CT&A for Mac and Windows Version 6.x
Activation: For information on activation and deactivation, please consult Section 1.3 of the CT&A
Help manual, or this Web page, and the FAQ. Keep the e-mail which contains your Product Key in a
secure place as you will need it to activate other computers. Please note that no new key will be sent if
you lose it or if it gets stolen.
IMPORTANT (macOS) : We are not aware of issues with CT&A V-6.0+ with macOS 11.6 Big Sur and
macOS 12.0 Monterey on Intel based Macs. Please note that, at this time, BabelColor cannot commit to
support the ARM platform or any macOS update starting with Big Sur even though we have corrected
issues specifically related to Big Sur in past releases and we received feedback from customers who
successfully used BabelColor software on a Mac ARM computer via Apple Rosetta 2 translator software. If
in doubt, and before purchasing, you should download and try to install CT&A on your computer; if
install can be completed without warning messages, you should use the program in trial mode (i.e. free)
to test the various tools and instruments. Please note that no refund will be issued if CT&A does not work
with future macOS versions and Mac hardware. You can consult the Mac OS compatibility page for more
information and the current status.
PatchTool for Mac and Windows Version 7.x
Activation: For information on activation and deactivation, please consult Section 5.3 of the
PatchTool Help manual, or this Web page, and the FAQ. Keep the e-mail which contains your Product Key
in a secure place as you will need it to activate other computers. Please note that no new key will be sent
if you lose it or if it gets stolen.
IMPORTANT (macOS) : We are not aware of issues with PatchTool V-7.1+ with macOS 11.6 Big Sur and
macOS 12.0 Monterey on Intel based Macs. However, Apple has announced that OpenGL is deprecated,
i.e. allowed but not recommended, in macOS 10.15. As a replacement, they propose the Apple developed
“Metal” graphics renderer libraries. Please note that there is currently no plan for PatchTool to support
Apple’s Metal renderer and if Apple completely removes OpenGL support in future OS versions,
PatchTool may become incompatible. In addition, at this time, BabelColor cannot commit to support the
ARM platform or any macOS update starting with Big Sur even though we have corrected issues
specifically related to Big Sur in past releases and we received feedback from customers who successfully
used BabelColor software on a Mac ARM computer via Apple Rosetta 2 translator software. If in doubt,
and before purchasing, you should download and try to install PatchTool on your computer; if install can
be completed without warning messages, you should use the program in trial mode (i.e. free) to test the
various tools and instruments. Please note that no refund will be issued if PatchTool does not work with
future macOS versions and Mac hardware. You can consult the Mac OS compatibility page for more
information and the current status.
