Export color lists as data, images, or swatches files from the same dialog window. The window has separate "Data" (shown here), "Image", "Swatches", and “ChromaChecker” tabs from which you select the specific parameters of each export type. The Data tab enables you to export in the CGATS or CxF3 formats, or in Plain Text. The controls in the bottom of the window are common for all export types. CxF3 export When you select the CxF3 "File type", the dialog changes as shown above; some fields are preselected, and disabled, and others are just disabled. A button over the “CxF3” selection shows the currently selected file extension for the file saved using the CxF3 format. Clicking on the button opens another dialog, shown below, where you can select the extension. You should read the descriptions which appear beside each extension and the text in red shown over the “OK” button; this text contains important recommendations for properly selecting the data fields when exporting to CxF3 files dedicated to X-Rite's i1Profiler.
For more information on CxF3 export, please consult this Application Note which presents PatchTool's CxF3 export features while highlighting the differences of the various i1Profiler file types where examples are shown for X-Rite's i1Profiler "Measure Chart" and "Profiling" workflows: AN-10 Exporting to the CxF3 and i1Profiler file formats with PatchTool (pdf; 1.4 MB)
