The PatchTool Emission-Reader tool is designed for light box/transmissive measurements performed with the i1Pro 3 and i1Pro 3 Plus spectrophotometers from X-Rite. It combines the White-Point relative measurements of Display-Reader with the target measurement features of Patch-Reader, including line-scan, to which it adds a mode dedicated to light box characterization. The Unconstrained measurement mode interface, shown below, is essentially identical to the Display-Reader tool interface.
You can click the “Stop” button at any time. Export ABSOLUTE measurements in a RAW file that can be opened in a spreadsheet. Export PROCESSED data , i.e. relative to a selected White Point, in a CGATS compatible file which can be opened in most programs that support this format; this file can also be compared to other colors lists within PatchTool. The CGATS file options export dialog is shown below. Screenshots of the “Light Box characterization”, "Custom chart" and "PatchTool file" measurements modes are shown on the following pages.
