FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The BabelColor Company launches the PatchTool software for Mac and Windows
MONTREAL, Quebec, Canada – January 3, 2007 – The BabelColor® Company announced today the immediate availability of the PatchTool™ software, a multi-purpose utility for viewing, sorting, re-ordering, averaging, converting, and exporting color lists.
PatchTool can import CXF files with spectral data as well as industry standard CGATS formatted lists, and even color lists formatted in plain text. These lists are seen in the form of interactive color patches and data tables displays. Color lists can be exported in CGATS text file format, in plain text format, and as images.
For owners of the namesake BabelColor software, now renamed BabelColor Color Translator and Analyzer ("BabelColor CT&A" in short form) to better differentiate it from other BabelColor products, PatchTool can convert color lists to the “Color Decks” (color catalogues) format used by the BabelColor CT&A program.
PatchTool is offered for both Windows and Mac OS X. Free trial versions are available now at www.BabelColor.com. The single license price is 35.00 US$ and it can be purchased online from BabelColor’s Web site
Founded in 2003, The BabelColor Company is dedicated to the development and sale of specialized color translation software and color tools. It also provides color consulting services for the professional and industrial markets.
